The DTC lab has two Promethean Boards. One is connected to a Mac computer and one to a PC. It is important to help your students become multi-platform proficient so they will be ready for either format as they enter their new classrooms.
The boards should be ready to go and attached to Internet ready computers. There are also connectors if you choose to connect to your own laptop.
Having the correct software is important. Promethean provides a notebook software free to anyone using their boards. It is a great exercise to have students download and prepare a lesson using the Interactive software and board. This makes it much more likely that they will use it in their future classrooms. Even if they encounter a Smartboard product they will be fine as these products work in a very similar manner.
